Webinar Overview:
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) have changed their conditions of participation (CoP) for all hospitals regarding their telemedicine standards. This new regulation and interpretive guidelines will also impact hospitals accredited by the Joint Commission. These impact both large hospitals, small and rural hospitals and critical access hospitals.

A new credentialing and privileging process for physicians and practitioners providing telemedicine services has been finalized. This will make the process less burdensome and will be of a financial burden for hospitals. CMS will now allow hospitals to use credentialing by proxy. Hospitals will need a written agreement that meets certain criteria.
